Job Description

Introduction

We are looking to hire a Sales Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. We provide Integrated Pest Management solutions to a variety of industries, tailored to each client’s needs. Since we are rapidly expanding, we are looking for a hard-working individual who is ready to join a small team and grow the branch to a successful business unit. The successful candidate will carry out the following duties in collaboration with our Pest Operations Manager, amongst others:

Sales Activities:

  1. Build sales pipeline by using various methods (majority cold-calling);
  2. Manage entire sales pipeline to deal closure;
  3. Obtain target in contract sales per month;
  4. Complete weekly sales reports detailing activities and financial results for presentation to CEO.

Pest Management Activities:

  1. Conduct pest surveys at prospective client sites;
  2. Write quality pest proposals (including quotes) for prospective clients;
  3. Present the above to prospective decision-makers.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 2 years in-field sales experience in the pest control industry;
  2. Technical pest management knowledge;
  3. Own vehicle and valid driver’s license;
  4. Excellent computer literacy (particularly in Microsoft Office Suite);
  5. Excellent communication & customer service skills (efficient in dealing with client complaints, testimonials, and referrals);
  6. Proficient in English and 1 other language (Afrikaans is beneficial); and
  7. Experience in using sales software (CRM software).

  1. Must be confident, persuasive, assertive and confident in his/ her sales abilities;
  2. Must be self-disciplined, independent and have high energy levels;
  3. Must have a high degree of honesty, integrity and diligence;
  4. Must be able to effectively and independently manage his/ her diary to optimize sales and customer service;
  5. Must be able to demonstrate problem solving abilities and negotiation skills for successful deal closure.

The candidate should be comfortable working in a small team environment and completing a multitude of tasks as and when needed for the growth of the branch.
